In November 24, 2016, a workshop took place in the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete which was dedicated to career education and professional orientation. All speakers were graduates during the early years of the university (1984-1987) and had gained adequate experience in order to present various fields which university graduates can select as their professional employment while, in every field, depending on the speakers’ composition, students had the opportunity to be informed on the positions they could take on.
The introductory speech entitled “The job market in Greece and abroad: Challenges and opportunities” was given by Ms Peggy Velliotou, General Manager in KPMG and responsible for Executive Selection. Welcome speeches during the workshop were given by the Dean of the School of Production Engineering and Management, Mr Nicos Tsouverloudis, and the President of Production and Management Engineering Graduates Association, Mr Dimitris Koutsotheodoros.
